Welcome to Retro-Tronics

Retro-Tronics: A site dedicated to old electronic stuff.

"Growing up in the 70's I had an old Admiral tube radio that came from a junk store. It is what taught me that radio's should glow. "
Dan Rasmussen - Retro-Tronics

Retro-Tronics is here to enable and document my hobby of collecting and restoring vintage electonics:
  • Tube Radios
  • Boat Anchors (old ham gear)
  • Early Television
  • Vide Arcade Games and Pinball
  • Micro-controller projects

Vintage Arcade
Back around 1996 I got interested in identifying an old video game that I played in my days at RAF Lakenheth. It turned out to be Juno First. I was hooked right away...

Vintage TV
A few years ago, when I was deep into arcade/vids I read the Farnsworth story (I'll dig up the link) and wound up with a Motorola VT-71. Looked at the chassis and figured I should practice on some radios (which got me back into radio).

Vintage Audio
Not really there yet (though I still have my Sansui 8900Z from 1982). Given all the above, I wind up with tube hi-fi stuff every now and then.
